High quality Giclee Print of Original Fibre Art "Geological Dreamscape #4"

Limited Edition Print

This unique artwork is created using layers of hand dyed merino wool fibre and details of silk fibre. It is then captured and reproduced using the highest quality printing techniques and materials.

The process used to create the artwork is not unlike that used to paint a conventional picture. Layers of colour are applied and then details carefully added. The difference being that my "paints" are wool and silk fibres and my hands are the brushes.

The Geological Dreamscape series is inspired by the beauty and variety of geological landscapes where they have been exposed by the movement of earth, wind or water. When I walk along wild New Zealand coastlines I look to the ceaseless movement of the ocean, but my eye is always drawn back to the exposed sedimentary layers of the cliffs and the bedrock below. The bright ochre hues of the volcanic sediments along New Zealand's eastern shores seem almost impossible and have inspired me to further re-imagine them in ever more unlikely colours.

The depth of colour and dimension in this unique artwork makes it an eye catching addition to your home. The sheen of the silk fibres lends a truly three dimensional quality to the piece. The capture of this particular type of fibre art is unique to Caroline Burton, Fibre Artist.

Gallery quality Giclée fine art print on 300g, bright white, cotton rag-based water-resistant textured matte archival paper.

UNFRAMED print is signed and numbered and a certificate of authenticity is supplied.  It will come packaged with detachable board backing to protect the print, and wrapped in a robust cardboard sleeve.

NOTE: Caroline Burton, Fibre Artist inspects and hand signs each print before shipping it to you. Signed prints take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive at your delivery address.

I work hard to ensure that my photos are carefully taken, accurate representations of the artwork, however I can not account for variations in individual computer monitors.
